Nice group of guitars, Thomas. You have a very interesting Ovation because it has 16 frets clear of the body and the maple top. It also has an interesting sound because of the SSB, maple top, and where they had to place the bridge because of that neck. I'm sure you will like it a lot, especially plugged in.

The Hank Marvin guitar looks nice - I've never seen one of those before. How does it sound?

Since you have a couple of them, have you ever visited www.takamineforum.com? It's a good place with quite a few people from this site who spend some time over there talking about Takamines and other things.

Thaks for your replies ;-)

@ stonebobbo
yes the sound of the collectors 1990 played with my PA ist fantastic and the small Body is more comfortable as a deep Bowl. It sounds (without Amp) not so bright and loud - but it is OK for Playing in a small room.

The Fender Hank Marvin - oh it has a fantastic clear sound. This sound is more better when you use a amp. Reason is the special Fishman Preamp.
It is not a regular Fishman 4. I wrote to Fishman to get more informations about it. This guitar has a Fishman with the Piezo and a micro which you can also mix to the piezo sound - that ist very good. I think it sounds like the Ovation Collectors from 1995 wich has also Piezo and a Micro inside.

Thanks for the URL of takamine - i will look what i find on these sites.

Tom
