I just discovered this forum when doing a search on a Takamine N-10. I have one I was going to sell. I have been playing guitar for 17 years and also play a bit of keyboards. I'm more of an electric player though I always enjoyed acoustics, my musical taste is more in the Iron Maiden territory than Simon & Garfunkel (though I love to play many of their songs, don't get me wrong). Anyway about a year ago I had a bad accident to my left hand that has made it difficult to play, especially acoustic. But I'm hopeful eventually I can overcome. Nice to meet you all!

Welcome to the group. Sorry to hear about the injury, but glad to hear you are persevering.

Welcome FBS! I can relate to the hand issues as I have carpal tunnel and arthritis in both hands. I have also had some real close calls, ripping off one pad on my Rt ring finger and crushing my rt trigger finger. An injury to my left hand has always been a nightmare for me, but I feel blessed to still be able to play. Hope you have a full recovery.

My late Uncle who taught me how to play guitar once put a huge shard of glass through his fretting hand and did some horrific damage. It took years, but he was eventually able to play again with almost complete dexterity. Hope you all can achieve similar recoveries!
