Folks, I have bought a model 1271 that is in need of TLC. Basically, I am looking for 3 tuners (mine are broken at the mounting holes). I would like to swap out the black plastic bridge with the metal option. Lastly, the fingerboard has had a rough life. It was either used very hard, or was instrumental in winning a bar room fight. The guitar's finish is of the maple variety, with the maple neck and maple finger board. Any direction and advice on where a source of parts could be found. I am also going to re-finish it, therefore an ovation decal might be necessary.

The shout out has been complied with. I have figured out most of the renovation. I have a very good luthier near by, and he will take on the refinish, and new fingerboard. Tuners are easy to acquire, although they won't have the Ovation logo. The bridge is the mystery to me. Hopefully someone will step up and give me some advice on that. Like I said, the black plastic bridge will work, but that chrome bridge would be the cat's meow. As for the electronics, they work just fine, so they will be the last for renovation. If needed.

Oh, and a Peghead decal just in case would be nice. I figure as long as I am asking, might as well include it also. BTW, I had email Ovation support, and they had referred me here.

That's interesting to know. Probably the best advise currently anyway.

You've been upgraded to full member. Feel free to post about, and start with a Want To Buy post in the for sale section. There are several of us Electric O heads floating around. You might get lucky.
