I just picked up a #1111-1 Balladeer for what I
think was a pretty good deal. Unfortunately, no case but I'll figure out that later. My question is I am trying to figure out how old this thing is. Serial # 081070.This guitar is LOUD!! and sounds sweet to! Any help would be appreciated.

Bob

How and where did you figure that out? I was on the Ovation web site and was stummped. I thought it was more like 71 or 72. but not a big deal.
Still sounds nice!! and I'm verry happy with it.

Just go to the O website... Under "ovation features" & select "crack the ovation code"...

Cheers

That's where I was and all I could come up with was. It states: 10000 - 1970 Feb to 1972 May.
Am I missing something?

I think you should refer to the "SIX DIGIT SERIES" section...
