I recently had to make my first minor part/service inquiry to Ovation (never really had any issues in more than 20 years, build quality anyone?). I know everyone on this forum is always remarking on how amazing their service department is (was I suppose), and I see what you all mean. Here's the email response:

ME:
Hello, I was wondering if you could point me in the right direction.

I recently noticed one of the EQ knobs (little plastic slider tip, Optima Preamp?) on my Adamas Millennium is missing. Can't find it in the case or anywhere. Any chance you could tell me where to find one?

Thanks in advance,
Mark

OVATION:
Mark,

It's under the couch. We know this stuff.

Still can't find it? Please reply with your mailing address and I'll send you a shiny new knob.

Regards,
Kim
Ovation USA

THANKS KIM!

You got off easy buddy!

The first time I talked to Kim, I asked about filling and levelling a mustache crack on my 2001 Collectors, and wound up converting my 1868 Elite into a mandocello!

That man was a menace to my wallet!

And I couldn't be more grateful.

ALL companies should have a Kim & John in their customer service department.

Several similar stories from here. I have never met Kim or John, but they seem like friends. They are on my list of people I need to meet.
This reminds me that I need to put the brass nut John sent me on my UKII.

Seriously. He sent me a whole set of 4 too, got em in like 3 days! No mention of cost, shipping, anything. Just took care of my problem and put a smile on my face while doing it (I actually did check under all the couches ...

Ive had the pleasure to meet Kim and John on several occasions. They are both great guys besides providing the fantastic service to many of us. I feel very fortunate to have met them.

There is not enough that can be said about those two guys... and the team of craftspeople they were the face of.
