Location: Pioneertown, California | Anyone come across a 'Korean Breadwinner' as currently listed on Ebay
Seller says there is no documentation as they were never commercially available.
He states: 'From what we know about this instrument, it is one of only a handful of Breadwinner guitars Ovation made in Korea. The non-USA made Breadwinners were never mass produced for sale. It's approximate production date is around 2005 -2006.
Although the specs are not exactly the same as the original USA made Breadwinner, the neck, body, and overall appearance and playability matches the previous versions. The body and neck are solid Mahogany, the fingerboard is rosewood, and neck is joined at the 16th fret for full access to entire two-octave/24 fret fingerboard.
The electronics are superb. This is not an active system like the originals. The guitar has two humbucking pickups with a 3-way selector switch (Neck - Neck/Bridge - Bridge). There is a mini-toggle switch that seems to be a phase switch (not quite sure about that!), but experimenting with the combination of pickups and the "phase" switch provides plenty of tonal variety'.

Can only imagine what it sounds like.

Location: Taxed To Death State | Who knows but man the plastic and stuff look mega cheesey and low quality. The switches and stuff certainly aren't the aviation grade ones used on the originals. On the flip side could be a good keeper for the sake of rarity. |

Location: Taxed To Death State | All I was told was that it was very rare and were surprised any even made it back here. Not much else said. Didn't get a warm fuzzy "we are proud of that one" vibe. Might have even heard a giggle or two. |

Location: Taxed To Death State | I owned a a real breadwinner limited when I was in high school, I sold it in 1987 for like $75 to buy parts for my car that needed repair. Boy I wish I kept it. |
