I posted this in the welcome forum... Guess I shoulda put it here.

I need an original saddle for a 77 Balladeer. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Jim

So the Ovation saddles run about 1/8" wide by either 2 9/16" or 3".

Ebay has a lot of similar choices in various materials, such as this one.

We live close enough to plan a visit and install whatever you need Jim!

Just measure the length of the saddle and get a Tusq saddle the proper length and width.
Since there is no pick-up, this is pretty low-tech.
So, decide what material you would like for a saddle...
whether you want it compensated for the B string or not...
And buy one for $5 or less from... anywhere.

I've got an old saddle made out of bone we made for Ovation back in the 70's stashed away somewhere, thanks for reminding me.

When we were machining the bone it stunk something fierce as I recollect.
