A while back my W597 suffered some damage to the top which resulted in a trip to the Mother ship for revival. A new top was in order so I decided to go for a full makeover. Deep contour bowl, new electronics, etc… I’m very happy with the end result!
A big thanks to Kim and all the other talented folks who worked on this!

Beautiful guitar. So the only thing original is the neck?

Wow......the guitar equivalent of a black cocktail dress and pearls. Simply stunning. Bound to turn heads everywhere she goes.

So it's a 2080 with eppies. Looks better IMHO.

So when are you going to quit hiding from me and let me try it out? PM or email me. I've tried to PM you, but never got a response.

Yep. Thats all that is left of the original...

I believe it is stained black maple. It is very thin and looks almost inlaid when looking straight at it.

The "one in, one out" rule only applies when SWMBO is watching.

That looks really cool.

But I'm curious...what are the parameters regarding a complete rebuild like this vs just buying a custom order? Is there a minimum amount of the old guitar that has to be included in the new one in order for the project to be considered a "service job" rather than a "custom job"?

I get such a kick out of you folks. Every time they do a great job, and every time you act surprised. It's hilarious!
