Location: Pacific Northwest Inland Empire | So, new project. First thing, what's up with the contact sensors? Far as I can tell, this critter is original, and there's no exit hole in the bridge. I'm dating this thing, somewhere between September 1977, to April 1978, by its serial #112887.
So, any thoughts or conjecture?
If any of my Esteemed Colleagues were watching recent FleaBay offerings, this is the unfortunate critter who got scalped, with the removal of the end of the peghead. Have to devise some type of reconstruction there, I surmise.

Anyway, might have been an aftermarket addition.
I have piezo button "contact sensors" in my 1114.
It is a nice, non invasive way to allow you to plug-in.
Just drill one hole, and attach the sensors to the sound board.

Location: Pacific Northwest Inland Empire | OMA, the model # indicates it is an acoustic/electric, that's why I'm curious. So, not likely an aftermarket item. The rig still works, too. Definitely, the original bridge on it.
KS, I did get both. I figured, $160.00, to my door, wasn't bad. These are great construction platforms. The AA-14-1 is in several pieces, at present. Had to reglue ALL of the radial braces & the main crossbrace. Reworking the tuners, and deciding how much work I need to devote to rehabbing the fretboard.
Got the rosette & pickguard off- messy job, cleaning up all that stick-um that's used. Never knew they were one piece, either. |

Location: Pacific Northwest Inland Empire | The other issue is, the fretboard is rosewood. The archive listing for a 1632 says it was aluminum.

Now, as for the other critter, I cobbled together some old parts, and have another player.
And, for those in-the-know, where's this gizmo really supposed to be?
