Location: Braman, OK | The seller calls it a Celebrity Deluxe. From blurry eBay pics the GSO (guitar-shaped object) most closely resembles a 1758, but with a honeyburst finish. It's a non-cutaway, and I don't recall seeing a Celebrity with epaulets and no cutaway... can't find reference to this model anywhere.
Can anyone shed light? |

Location: Boise, Idaho | A Celebrity Deluxe would have epaulets and no skunk stripe. I don't know about the lack of cutaway, but would presume there were Celebrity Deluxes without those. I thought of the Celebrities as being like the traditional center hole Ovations and the Deluxes as the Elite style, but with less of a pointed fretboard extension at the end up in the body of the guitar. None of the Celebrities had a 5 piece neck, to my knowledge. Some may have had a 2 piece. I know there's lots of weasel words in this, but Ovation made a ton of the Celebrities and Celebrity Deluxes and there were a bunch of variations. |

I have also seen listings for a Celebrity CC267 which is the six string version.
Kinda like a poor man's 1537, or 1718.
But they are pretty rare, and I never have the money when one appears.
