Are they implying that they will be replacing the nut?
Or are they saying $50 more because the frets are a 1/16" wider? :confused:
[Hey, after twenty frets, that still ain't a whole fret] |

If there is alot of wear on the 1st 5 "money frets" a good luthier can replace them and hone the frets to the the remaining frets and adjusting the tension rod for bow. Also be sure to have the frets glued in place for sound transfer. To learn more about fretting maintainance and setup check out one of those major guitar part suppliers online, Stu Mak. |

might be less to do just half of them;
If you're going to the expense to re-fret, you might want to consider having stainless steel frets... they would last longer and I feel the that stainless steel frets would add to the tonal quality. |

Location: Colorado Rocky Mountains | I just sent an EA-68 Viper to the mothership for a refret job. No word back yet. It might take a few weeks before they have a chance to get back to me on the cost. Based on the comments received here, the cost will be competitive and I will be totally satisfied with the quality of the service. |
