After reading all of your replies and took some steps in getting down to the problem.
I'm glad to report that the problem is in the 3-way toggle switch. Thanks to Clyde and BruDev's advice and I managed to find the same switch at the local Guitar Center and today I fixed the problem.
And I also used the contact cleaner(thanks Jeff)to clean the pots and that eliminate the "noise" problem when turning the 'tone' and 'volume' switch.
I just wanted to let you know that I wouldn't be able to fix my guitar without all of your advice and knowledge, and spending the time in reading my post and write your response. Thank you, thank you, thank you...
Best regards to all!

Sometimes scratchy pots can be cleared up by rapidly rotating them a few dozen times to break up any oxidation. Same for switches, by just moving them back and forth rapidly. Contact cleaner is the next step if that doesn't work.
Have fun with your guitar! |
