The video shows it to be really mass produced. With such volume they should be cheaper. Pound for pound Hamer's a better deal.

High tech for sure. It would be hard to argue lack of quality control from multi-million dollar machines with very tight micro tolerances. I have four Gibsons ranging in age from 30 years to 6 years and I can find nothing wrong in their quality, although I'm not sure how many machines were involved in the older models. That said, coming out of the factory, they don't have the soul of a Hamer, and the quality of a Hamer is a notch or two higher. Examples are the neck joint and the binding. The Hamer logo imprint inside the body cavity is also very cool. I was so impressed with Hamer after last year's tour that I immediately started looking for several models, one of which I subsequently wrangled from Fugot and the other which is on order.
