Be certain not to pull or force the wiring beneath the saddle. 3. For lower than standard action, remove a shim beneath the saddle. Removing one shim will lower the action by 1/64" at the 12th fret. Do I remove the white plastic piece or remove as a whole unit the metal seat and the white plastic piece together? I don't want to hose the pick up wiring.

Sure there are things you can do but I would tread lightly on some of it if you're not experienced. That's just one opinion though - others may disagree.

It's very easy, just don't break the wires. I always find it easier to push the pickup assembly up from inside the guitar.

Just go slow and be gentle (That's what she said!). :D

The shims are usually brown and look like wafer board. They go in the bottom. Once you do one, the rest are easy.
