Beg to differ. NB was the subject of a Made in America episode a while back.
They have factories in Mass & Maine.

I actually saw Country Joe at an outdoor concert (after Woodstock obviously) where he opened the set with that song. He promptly changed it and sang it later in the show. I think I was there to see Harry Chapin, I can't remember when, no surprise there.
