It's apparently a rare model. I couldn't find any info on it. I also noted it has no fingerboard markers, except on the side of the neck perhaps. Are most Adamas models free of markers on the front of the fingerboard??

I saw it when it was cheap and I was watching it. I couldn't afford it so I didn't bid. Plus it had that chipped ear anyway... (damn grapes are probably sour )

I have tried SMT and CVT, only keeping the Millennium. Check out a 1687 to see the difference, in price and quality. SMT and CVT still great guitars but not the same. Most of Adamas, and even Elite have fretboard markers. Edited by Tony Calman 2013-06-29 2:20 AM

I've had my Custom Legend for a long, long time, and just recently purchased a second O, my Custom Elite. My knowledge of the different lines is not very extensive.

We were strolling Main St. in a very rural town when I saw it. After negotiating with SWMBO to go inside. I strategically checked out all the other gear first, hoping to spend some extra time with the Adamas on my last stop. But after 60 idle seconds with it SWMBO was getting restless and I had to leave. I don't recall the model. (Oh yeah... It was model $1800. She must have seen the tag before I did.) I never did play it. We're actually heading back to that area today. I think I might find my way back to that little shop. Alone.

I had also had wondered about the different types of tops and the difference it makes to sound but never got the full answers: http://ovationfanclub.com/megabbs/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=34292&...
