That's just the sort of thing I'm after Dave!

I like the last one - bottom right. I'd like to see an alternative version of the others without the curvature if that's possible.

Also, I'm wondering what the last one would look like if you made the 'M' a little less prominent?

Great work mate.  Fits the original brief perfectly.

Nice work Dave. Are these hand drawn letters? I like the bottom right best too.

I'm digging the top one a lot! It would look very cool in silver or chrome. And just a bit smaller, I think.

Yup...

I'm really liking this one too, but I won't be making any decisions until I see what Cliff's got to offer...

Revisions will be coming along soon. I have a Harley to pinstripe first though. I was surprised at your choice until I saw it on the amp pic. My favorite was the top right one in the pics I sent. You can take the file I give ya to a signshop with a computerized router and have this cut out of any variety of thin metals, I'd suggest brushed aluminum as I've done a few of those before and they look great on a black grille cloth. Glad I came up with one ya like.

DaveKell - 2013-06-22 12:51 AM I was surprised at your choice until I saw it on the amp pic.

I think that its simplicity lends itself to being a 'logo', not just fancy written word.

I've got a mini gig tomorrow night, so I might just cut a temporary logo from white 'Contact' with an Xacto and see what reactions I get. Hopefully get a soundclip too...

Thanks for your assistance Dave. I think I'm gonna go with this one. Just need to make the 'M' a tad smaller, similar to what I've done in the photos (I used photoshop..)

PM me your address and I'll get some Tim Tams off to you.   Do you have any OFC guitar picks yet?

Definitely the last one!

I like it more and more every time I look at my amp with a temporary brushed stainless logo I did up for last night's 'gig'. It may even lose the 'temporary' tag because, even if I do say so myself, it turned out pretty damn fine! Photos to follow. I've only just woken up. (It's Sunday morning here)

I think the 'M' still needs to go through a warm wash (to shrink it) but otherwise, we've got our winner!

Thanks Dave.

Actually, the "M" is the mathematically correct proportion to the rest of the lettering. If you have photoshop you should be able to import one of the files I emailed you and resize it however you want. Don't forget, I want to see a pic of the final product. I'm always compelled to add the value of the free work I do now that I'm retired. I would have gotten $150 minimum for this in my shop. I sure hope I enjoy those, what were they, Tim Tams? I had a friend from Australia I met on a sign forum where I am a venerated elder come to visit when he came to the US for a sign convention in Vegas. Drove all the way to Texas to spend a weekend with us. It was like we had been friends our entire lives. We made plans to go visit him at his home somewhere in Queensland. Awhile back we got a letter from his wife that he had an accident on his Harley he did not survive. His name was Dave Drane. That hurt like hell. Was really looking forward to visiting him and getting a guided tour of Australia.

Muzza normally gets $250 for those Tim Tams.

It may be mathematically correct, but to my (ASD influenced) eye, the 'M' didn't look quite right.

Below is the 'temporary' logo I threw together on the day of the gig. Made from a piece of scrap brushed stainless I had left over from the amp's front panel. (Turned out pretty damn fine for a 'temporary' fix, if I do say so myself...)

I live in Queensland too. I don't know about being a 'guide', but I'm happy to advise where to go when you get here, and where all the 'Downundererers' live.

You ARE aware that Queensland is bigger than Alaska? In fact, if you combined the areas of Texas, California, New Mexico and Arizona, it still wouldn't make up the same area.

So, if you do come to Australia, allow some time to get around...

And be prepared to mule about 8 guitars with you...

Oh, and as if you don't need any more incentive to come here, AJ lives in Queensland too. Probably one of the biggest collections of 'O's outside of the US. (I think Povation may have more, but it would be a close call)
