CC074 Bass pickup problem

Subject: CC074 Bass pickup problem

Location: Florida		I bought an Ovation CC074 Bass, and, after replacing the strings, I find that the pickup only
works under the D and G string, and not under the E and A strings. Visual inspection doesn't show
anything. Has anyone else had this problem ??
