Location: Miami | It's okay; I see from the FAQ there's a chart that says it was produced between '83 and '85. Wow, that's old! I've just bought one online - it's going to be one of the oldest guitars I've owned in my life! |

Location: Boise, Idaho | Oldie but goodie. An '83 isn't old. Our daughter was born then. A '53 is old. That's when I was born. I have several guitars older than my 1537 and they aren't any worse for the age. Just starting to get broken in. |

Location: Miami | That's good to hear. I'm not an Ovation expert, but I have really liked the models I've played (I currently own a 2005 Collectors). When this one came up on the Used Gear section, I did a bit of online research, and the verdict seemed to be that it was one worth taking a chance on. In fact, with GC, the chance is reduced insofar as everything is returnable, but I don't envisage needing to send this one back.

The sales guy seemed to think it was going to end up in England though. |

There's no real danger of it being returned, as I say. If something's not quite right, it might even be worth sending it to Ovation to have it cleaned up. |
