laocmo - I thought Ovation had a patent on this design. Patent holders can (and do) license the rights to use their designs. I don't know if that's the case here or not. These are sold as a direct replacement for the standard wide Ovation pickup. I didn't notice in that ad any "direct" replacement statement. ? I only saw "Intonated Replacement Saddle". I did notice that the link for the Installation Manual displays a page Not Found message. hmmmm
Are they supposed to be better or are they just a knockoff? Never used one so can't say whether these are equal, better or worse. Shadow is a reputable maker of acoustic/electric pickups. According to that ebay sellers Returns paragraph they don't accept items that have been opened or installed... so I guess if you wanna try it, you're gonna own it. |
