How bout a better pic of that sunburst 3rd from the left on top? That appears to be a unique and beautiful guitar. What model is it? I don't think I have ever seen one quite like that!

That's his 1537, and it sounds spectacular!

Nice! But if you buy any more guitars... you're gonna need an even wider angle lens!!!

David got it (he's played it too). Really that 1537 is one of my top favs, but it hardly gets played because of the lack of a cutaway. Some day i'll find me a 1547 to hang next to her.

I really need to take some new pics of her, and come to think of it, I think I need to grab her off the wall and strum her some.

Close, but no cigar. She's a Tornado, and a very old one. I think the serial is #535 (no letters). End of 1967 I believe.

I love the sound on her, but can't throw too much gain on it. She plays AWESOME, and really once you start, it's easy to find yourself noodling for hours.

I did the electic parts on "Take You Down" with it, and really loved the tone. She does have a "2" stamped on the back of her headstock. Whatever the blemish was then, you'd never know. It has more finish cracks than Joan Rivers, but is much more pleasing to the ear.

Seeing a collection like that, I feel slightly more validated about mine.

And you only posted that picture to remind me that calendar time is coming.

But I'm on a deadline at work, so I'm not thinking "calendar" at all yet......

I'm not.....

Well, not really....

Maybe not.....

John's One-Off 1537 sure looks cool hanging there this month....

$@%-it! Damon! You and your great pictures! I've got work to do, and I can't accomplish much with pictures like that making me think "I could do something cool with that."...!

SIGH....

I added that to my Screen Saver Photo Gallery.

I have many great OFC guitar photos... But somehow Damon has the most and the best.

His 1537 is one of my favorites. Sounds as good as mine, but the sunburst just looks so perfect. I've been noticing that I haven't owned a sunburst for quite awhile. I should fix that.
I agree that Damon needs more room. At least enough that someone like me can try out all those guitars without bumping into something. I'll come over and test it.
