I think I bought it overprized though, I spent $1.300 used because i couldnt find any reference about it. Anyway Im happy with it. what do you think ? See you around ![]()

When I see the Elite 1768 model this one pops out http://www.ovationguitars.com/archive/guitar/elite_1768 but mine is exactly like this one : http://www.ovationtribute.com/Acoustic%20Series/Elite/Elite%201768-... You know, with all this new fake chinese guitars I dont know what to think. Also, Im planning to go on tour I and I would like to take this one with me but I'd neeed another one for my partner, who is in love with her too !! So my question is , which model of the present catalogue would be somehow equivalent to my 1768 ? BTW it would be nice to post on other topics too but I dont have the permission yet ![]()

I am a little paranoid cause I was cheking the Ovation website trying to find more info on my guitar but i cant find it !! When I see the Elite 1768 model this one pops out http://www.ovationguitars.com/archive/guitar/elite_1768 That image is Actually a 1763 Classical guitar. For a LONG time the Ovation website has a Celebrity photo in place of a 1778LX image. This is what happens when you subcontract your IT. but mine is exactly like this one : http://www.ovationtribute.com/Acoustic%20Series/Elite/Elite%201768-... You know, with all this new fake chinese guitars I dont know what to think. I think that the people in Connecticut get their information from Jerome's Ovation Tribute and the OFC. As to Access... Eventually someone in authority will come-along and grant you access. Edited by Old Man Arthur 2013-04-24 2:20 PM

Your years in the industry? My years of web browsing makes me a connoisseur. I am sure that if they had gotten someone from the OFC to do it they would have the correct images.

And besides, this has nothing to do with IT. Web content signoffs would typically fall under a company's marketing department.

Mistery solved then, though Im very dissapointed because it looks like I paid too much form my Elite. I've seen a number of 1768 here for sale, all of them around $600, very far from the $1,300 I paid for mine ![]() Yet, Damon you mentioned a similar one would cost about $3k now ... so what am I missing ?

For a NEW USA built, it's a custom order, or one of the limited edition models like the 2078LEAS Adirondack Top. That's where you get into the $3k range. Also, from my end it looks like you've been able to post elsewhere for a while now.
