With regular Ovation mandos going for about 600-800 I would think a book mando would top out at about 1500.

but I guess if nobody is selling one they are priceless.

Location: Phoenix AZ		Having owned a regular MM68 and the Book MM68LTD at the same time I can tell you there is NO difference in the two other than what your eyes see. If the bling of the book mando and the rarity excite your wallet then it's a great little piece to own. But sonically you could never tell the two apart.

Unquestionably the go-to plugged in mando is an Ovation or Adamas (yes there are a few), but to me they don't sound or feel quite like a traditional mandolin. Not that I'm any kind of expert or player by any stretch. Not better or worse, just different. I guess in a similar way that Ovation guitars sound different than wooden guitars.

That bearclaw one was nice. I remember playing it at The Frisky Mermaid on some song called "Mauvais Beal". Don't remember much else about that night ...
