Location: Florida Central Gulf Coast | After reading the "Favorite Pick?" thread, I began wondering what materials ya'll have used to get by or experimented with.
I'm currently prepping a couple of coconut shells to experiment with. Yes, they'll be stiff but durable and quite attractive. I also hope to make a TRC for my ol' late '60s electric double-pup Lyle. |

I'll never forget the disappointment as I first pulled into MH. I had pictured hills with a mountainous background, not the 'pool table flat' prairie!
Actually the original town of MH was at the base of the 'foothills' It was moved when the railroad was built. |

Location: Boise, Idaho | You're right about the history. I moved here in 78 in large part because a buddy in law school had been stationed in MH and convinced me to check out Boise. |

When I left Idaho 24 years ago, Boise was one of those 'comfortable' cities sitting in a lovely setting. I have heard that it has attracted too many 'left coasters' since then. |

My neighbor that I mentioned above moved up to Eagle a couple of years before I left. We went up to visit several times. If I ever move away from my hometown and the waters here, that's where I'll head.
I love the independent spirit and love of neighbors out West! If ya want your space, ya got it. If ya need some support, ya got it. Just be prepared to show your own independence and willingness to help others upfront. Very fond memories out there! |
