Location: South of most, North of few | Just received my latest acquisition last night from The Great White North via UPS with no damage!! I know this isn't everyones cup of grease, but it kind of appealed to me. OM size with walnut back and sides, Canadian spruce top, 1 13/16 nut, inlaid fret board, hand carved back, sides, bridge, and headstock with "bat" theme. Light as a feather and sounds very nice. Very percussive and great for fingerpicking.

Location: South of most, North of few | I've been playing this one all morning, and I can say I am favorably impressed with the tone and intonation, (which is as perfect as I've seen) of the instrument. When I got it, the action was a little high for my liking, so I cut a little off the saddle (which is bone) and adjusted the truss rod a little, and got it down to just over 2/32" at the 12th fret with no buzz. I'm sure it will open up some yet, but it really has a nice tone to it. Don't know how much the walnut has to do with it, but it really has a "right now" kind of response to it and the midrange is as I said, very percussive sounding. Nice "flavor" to add to the others. |

Give us a bit of comparison to familiar models once you have played it for a week or so. |

Location: South of most, North of few | I really can't compare it to anything else I've played except for the Mermer I had that a few members played at Zilla's house. I'll give it a week or so to open up a little more and let you know. I don't think the workmanship as far as fit and finish is on par with any of the major players out there. They use a finish that is like a "french polish" that is very hard, but not real glossy. Kind of between a satin and a gloss which is probably the only real gripe I have with it. Of course, being the finish is so thin, it really lets the sound come through. It is so light in weight that when I was taking pictures today outside, it actually started lifting off the stand in the wind. If I didn't have the herc stand, it would have left completely. :eek: |

Guitar has sides and back of Cherry wood – the top is Atlantic spruce – the neck is ebony and mahogany and the headstock and bridge are ebony.
Great sounding guitar!!!

Location: South of most, North of few | I kind of wondered about the ones they carve the top. Didn't know if it would weaken the top, although it looks nice. Tremendous amount of work, although I think they could spend a little more time on the fit and finish. |

Location: Texas | Concerning the carved top - I spoke to the owner of Blueberry in depth about it and only 2 carvers are allowed to work on the tops. He assured me that the top is not weakened by this work. As for the fit and finish - I now have 4 of them and all have perfect finishes and IMO are worth a lot more than they are selling for right now. Once the dealers get hold of them, they will be sold for much more than they are being sold on ebay right now. They are pretty amazing guitars. At least the ones I have - looking forward to seeing how they might appreciate in the future. To each his or her own :) |
