OK, here's the deal - I have an incredibly talented, dedicated to the point of obsession, 12 year old student who loves Ovations. She has a Matrix right now with low action and electronics, but is looking to upgrade.

I had planned on giving her an older Balladeer that had been with my ex for the past several years. (We are still the best of friends.) I had given him this guitar when we were married, but he never plays it anymore because he plays classical guitar. He told me he was going to send it to me, but after three years in the case, he opened it and found that it has some nasty cracks and the top is seperated from the bowl. I know I could send it back to the factory for reapair, but I think i'd like to just get it repaired and keep it, even though the cracks will show because if I remember correctly, this thing sounds REALLY good. Besides, it used to belong to my Dad.

So, long story longer, I am looking for a reasonably priced Ovation that I can give (not sell) to my student. She likes a little bling, but I'd be willing to consider anything if the action is low and it sounds good. I'd like something with electronics. But I don't want one with cracks or other major defects.

So, what have you got?

I'm not sure, Noah. There might be a couple of friends going in on it with me. Let me know what you've got and what you want for 'em and I'll talk to my friends. If they are SERIOUS about helping we can spend more than I can alone. Shoot me a PM. Thanks!
