Location: Steeler Nation, Hudson Valley Contingent | You hardly ever see 70's Folklores for sale, and when you do, they usually aren't in this kind of condition. Seriously, other than some dings, there's not a thing wrong with it! No finish cracks, no belly bubble, no separations, nothing!
The action is SOOOO easy to play with and the neck is nothing but comfy. Thanks to the Ovation X-bracing, the sound is even and stellar. The neck is straight. The bridge and heel are securely attached. Frankly it's hard to believe this guitar will be 37 years old in a couple of weeks. I tried to picture the dings, but they wouldn't all show up, so here's the run-down. The two most obvious are in the lower bout (See close up with the foot of the stand in it. I apologize for getting the marks partly obscured by shadow.); there is a small ding to the left of the sound hole, but it would not show well; and there are two dings on the headstock, one of which looks more like a careless re-string than anything else. And that's it for issues. Otherwise, this thing is solid. One note, the lower strap pin is a little loose. I meant to fix it when I had the strings off but forgot. It's easy to staighten out the next time you re-string.
The guitar is newly strung with Elixirs and sounds fantastic. It just fills the room with no effort at all.
It comes with its original hardshell case. I'm looking to get $665 shipped in the continental U.S. If you are overseas, contact me for a quote. I took a few more pictures than I could fit in one post, so you can find the rest on my Photo Bucket page HERE.
Thanks for looking everyone. You won't be disappointed if you buy this instrument.

Got a big kick out of the Nashville Straights sticker... I tried a few sets of those back in the 70's. The came in a long cardboard sleeve. (The strings were never curled, a marketing ploy to protect the windings.) PIA to carry around extra sets. |

Would a price drop generate some interest?
How about $625 shipped?
I can still get it to you by Christmas if we hurry, and it's on eBay now, so let me know ASAP.
Thanks again for looking everyone. |
