I got to say, After owning 5 vintage custom legends, an Adamas smooth top, S771 and 2 nice early 90`s celebrity`s This `76 Legend beats them all one way or the other. Got her home removed old strings, cleaned fret board and frets polished her head to toe lemon oil fret board and bridge re-strung with Martin SP 12`s phos.brnze and tightened up truss rod let her sit for a bit, now it`s perfect!

Cant believe the cond. of this axe and the tone unplugged and plugged in, WOW factor! alot louder than my `ole 83 cust legend pre-amp. the tuners are very smooth and it holds its tune perfect, Intonation is perfect.

I was thinking about flipping this guitar or possibly trading it for a 1769 or another 1619 just because im a bling whore and have some deep love for custom legends they were the 1st guitar i ever heard and saw by ovation and it stuck big time! I have some reservations since im not sure if I`d find one that is in this good condition and plays and sounds this great. Pictures coming soon as I left my camera at my cousins house need to get it asap.

The case is ohsc in great cond as well. Who knows maybe if someone offers me a good trade on it, I might jump?

Dan

Congrats on a great find. Glad you like it. For what it's worth, I've never bought into the notion that blingy guitars sound better.
