Does anybody know how to get a truss rod wrench for very old Adamas?
I have purchased 1978 Adamas whose serial number is less than 100. It is pretty cool and quite beautiful.
But neck condition is not perfect for me, so I want adjust it slightly.
I found that the shape of truss rod is a little different with later Adamas's one.
I also have 1981 Adamas. It seems that the wrench for 81 can not be used for 78.
I will visit Boston and Washington, D.C. this weekend (10/26-10/31).
I am very happy If I can get a wrench for 78 Adamas at any guitar shop in those cities.
Do you think it is possible?
I will contact with Ovation on this as well.

Sorry, I don't have the answer to your question. I'm near Boston but I'm no help, I'm afraid.
But I just had to say... if silence is golden, you are a wealthy person indeed! One post in 10+ years!

If the serial number is less than 100, your Adamas was built in 1977...I have #99 and it was the last built in 1977. Also contact me by PM concerning your question.

dvd, thank you for the message.
Yes, this was my first post. OK, I will start next another honor from this thread.
It must be built in 1977, but there is a description "1978" on the label.
I'm not sure what this means.
Anyway I will send you a message from PM. Thank you.
