| Does anybody know how to get a truss rod wrench for very old Adamas?
I have purchased 1978 Adamas whose serial number is less than 100. It is pretty cool and quite beautiful.
But neck condition is not perfect for me, so I want adjust it slightly.
I found that the shape of truss rod is a little different with later Adamas's one.
I also have 1981 Adamas. It seems that the wrench for 81 can not be used for 78.
I will visit Boston and Washington, D.C. this weekend (10/26-10/31).
I am very happy If I can get a wrench for 78 Adamas at any guitar shop in those cities.
Do you think it is possible?
I will contact with Ovation on this as well.

Location: Blue Ridge Mountains | If the serial number is less than 100, your Adamas was built in 1977...I have #99 and it was the last built in 1977. Also contact me by PM concerning your question.

It must be built in 1977, but there is a description "1978" on the label.
I'm not sure what this means.

Location: New Hartford CT | The tension rod adjustment nut has a standard 3/16" (4.76MM) hexagon socket.
The large form Ovation supplied wrench can be found on ebay occasionally... |
