Linda's a local musician who runs open mics and does other various musical related things around the region, many times donating her time and energy for the local good. Linda was a big part in helping me get out in front of people and playing, she also introduced me to all the people I play with in the 2 bands. She's been using a SS Celebrity for quite some time. It's been glued and tweeked and everything else, and now he preamp has died. I'd like to help her out however I can, so I'm posting here. She's a person of very little means, living off music for the most part. I think we all can appreciate how tough that can be. So here's what Linda would really like to find at an affordable price... A sexy top, not red, but like the bubinca or flamed or something like that. burst is ok too... just not red, and probably not black SS bowl gold hardware decent preamp good working order (no neck resets needed) oh... and cheap
Anyone? Edited by Damon67 2012-10-04 4:32 PM

I don't know if she could be talked out of it cheap, but she now has the 87 Collector. She might have some sentimental attachment to the first guitar I gave her and isn't desperate for cash as far as I know. She might also have inherited the idea that one guitar isn't enough.

They don't get much cheaper than this: It appears to be a Celebrity CC24-TBBY, which has a mid-depth bowl, charcoal flamed maple top, abalone rosette and gold hardware. These have the OP-4T amp. I have the wine-red version of this, which has block abalone inlays on the fretboard, so it has a little more bling than this one. It's got a nice clear accoustic sound. Not as boomy as my 2078TX, but nice, nonetheless. The ad is kind of old, so it may have been sold. But, at this price, nothing ventured, nothing gained.
