Newbie to Ovations question.
I've found a used CC-057 in a local music store, but the electronics in it look primitive, just four sliders, not like the OP-20 that is specified on the Ovation website. Is this then an older model?
About me:
I've been drawn to Ovations over the years but have never owned one. My head got stuck in the "a fingerstyle guitarist must play only upon guitars made purely of the forest" thinking. I have always liked the sound of Ovations, particularly when plugged in. Some of you may know this is a HUGE no-no in the Fingerstyle guitar community...but I don't know that I care about that anymore...I want to play the guitar and sound I'm drawn to.

Look HERE to find yours.
Hang-around... We do fingerstyle on roundbacks.

Thank you for the reply. Don't know why Malwarebytes is identifying the Ovation Tribute website as a malicious site.
Anyway...the DJ-4 preamp is decent? Probably the most basic Ovation put in their guitars?
Doesn't Preston Reed play an Ovation?
