I don't know if you can swing a way to get it down under, but I just put up a really nice Custom Elite in the For Sale section. |

Hiya BanjoJ,
I don't know if you can swing a way to get it down under, but I just put up a really nice Custom Elite in the For Sale section.
Thanks Patch.
TAFKAR has just pointed it out to me.
I have a friend who can get it here for me using an APO that is a military address but is is considered US domestic. Apparently you ship it as standard mail, not overnight or express or international.
I must say I'm very tempted. I better have another look. I think I have GAS! |

I bought a 2773LX Artist nylon string on eBay on impulse. Its a fine guitar, but I prefer steel strings.
I also bought a beautiful 1997 Custom Elite off Patch. This guitar is fantastic!
The 2773LX has a contour bowl, and the Custom Elite has a deep bowl. Both are very comfortable to play sitting or standing, so I'm very happy with both.
The Custom Elite has the good volume and bottom end that I was after. It is a delight to play.
I didn't like the strings on the 2773LX, so bought a set of GHS Vanguard Classics 2510, which have a wound third string. These strings definately sound better than the set with a plain G, but I would like a brighter sound on the first and second strings. More research required.
I would like to thank everyone for their help. It has made my quest so much easier.
The problem I now have is that I've contracted GAS, and I'm told there is no cure!
So I'm looking for a custom legend, or a collectors, or an Al DiMeola. I'm even thinking about a 12 string!
Thank you all again.
Cheers, Banjo |
