| I just bought my first guitar, a used GC057M. Having fun starting to learn how to play it. Trying my best to defeat the "old dog-new trick" wisdom. I'm 53.
It has the OP-4BT preamp and I can't find instructions for it anywhere online and Ovation has been no help.
I presume the tuner indicates the string is in tune when the appropriate letter displays and both the up arrow and down arrow appear.
Anyone have a set of instructions for this preamp?
Thanks

It is a pretty straightforward preamp.
The 3-Band Equalizer does just what you think.
You push the tuner button to use the tuner.
When the "arrows" become a "diamond" you string is in tune.
Ovation really doesn't send out a specific manual for the OP4BT.
Someone with the proper authority will be along to upgrade your account.
I am not one of those people.

Location: Sunshine State, Australia | If the chevron (arrow) is pointing UP, the note is flat and you need to tighten it, RAISING the pitch. If the arrow is pointing DOWN, the note is sharp and you need to loosen it, LOWERING the pitch. I haven't got my OP Pro at work with me, but if I remember right, the chevrons flash faster as you approach the correct note. A solid 'diamond' indicates correct pitch for that particular note.

| Enjoying learning to play this guitar. I removed the shims from under the pickup and it seems much easier to play. I'm thinking I can actually make some pleasant sounds. An hour or so a day, and progress is slow but measurable. Now if I can just figure out how to finger an A chord with my fingertips! |
