Hofner, from Germany, same vintage as the Storms, same F-hole design and control placement . . . same source?

Yeah. Probably the same. They were made by Framus in Germany.

Finish color also looks very similar to the T-Head.

Back in the 60s the Framus factory was only a short hop from the Höfner plant. I'm quite sure they exchanged designs, knowledge and people.

Framus failed in the 70s but the building still exists. Today it houses a metal-working factory . I'm there from time to time for business and it's quite exicting for me to know that some early Ovation parts were made there.
