Location: New Mexico | '83' Legend 1617 is due to arrive this thursday so I don't have it in hand yet. But I do know it has no electronics. As you know, the bridge is a piezo pickup and I'm hoping it still has at least some lead left on it and that it works. My questions are :
- if the pickup is still functional, what are some decent aftermarket preamps I can use
- if the pickup doesn't work, what's the best alternative for $100 or less that has a volume control
I have no experience with UST setups but have been eyeballing K&K mini but would I need a preamp?
Also been considering a JJB Electronics Elite-430 because it has a volume control but, would that need a preamp?
My amp is a G-K Backline 115 with XLR out patched to a Crate TX30 (adds highs). G-K input impedance is 1M |
