| Hi all I am looking to spend 200.00 to 250. for a new acoustic amp. In that price range I can get the following:
Acoustic AG30 - 199.
Kustom Sienna 30 and 35 149.-199.
Berhinger ACX 40 - 220.
Peavy Eacoustic 208 - 189.
Dean Markley Ultrasound AG30 - 199.
I would appreciate if anyone can give me input on the quality of the different amps here and the more preferred ones and why.
Thanks for your help.

Location: Germany | Ihave a Kustom Siena 30. Bought it because of the low price. And the effects loop, which I've never used. Keep it because it's invisable. It doesn't really have a sound. The reverb (tank) is very nice, the chorus is "tastefull" I plug in, the guitar seems louder and fuller, but still sounds the same. Invisable. No opinion on the others |

Location: Northwest Arkansas | I've got 2 Crate 30-watt amps. I set 'em up about 10 feet apart and run it through a stereo chorus. It shut a crowd down. Not a soul said a word. You just have to hear it to believe it. I got one of the amps off eBay for $60.00. I bought the other one 5 or 6 years ago for $200.00. |

You just have to hear it to believe it. The same set-up can be used for the older FET stereo preamp with every other string splitting the channels. Run through two amps split wide, the sound is very unique. It was to maximize this effect that I purchased a big Yamaha stereo PA system back in the early 1980's to go with my 1651 Legend Ltd. Still have the system with twin 150 lb speakers, which is, ahem, a bit over the top for a basement bandroom. |
