Joined: July 2012 Posts: 10 | Hi Everybody, I play trumpet and not guitar, but I have a question for ya'll. I have a gentlemen who is trying to throw in a 1994 Ovation Adamas 1587-8 (with case) to sweeten a deal between cars we are trading. I found this website and was hoping some of you could help with some questions I have about it. He suggested I could sell it for around $2000, is this accurate? (Ebay searches have brought prices around there, but they might have been sitting for forever, I would like to know how much you could realistically sell one of these for). Is there anything I should look for that would add or take away from the value? Also, would this be a fairly quick sell? I would need to make some repairs on his vehicle, and was going to use the proceeds from the guitar to pay for them. I don't want to have the guitar sitting around for a year trying to sell it... I am going to have to make a decision on this deal fairly soon, so any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Hunter

A 1587 is one of the more sought-after models, but like anything, its all about the right buyer and the right time. Also, the condition is critical. Like new, rarely played, minor play wear, etc will demand the best price, but it drops off quickly if there is any damage. Ovations are pretty indestructible so any damage usually (not always) means abuse. A picture would help.

It should open a window that allows you to browse your files and upload a photo. That feature might not work until your Membership is Activated (and I cannot do that). Meanwhile... If your photos are on another hosting site like Photobucket or Flicker you can just post that link here. Then we can view them there, and maybe someone will move them for you.
