| Hi Im a beginner and a few months back got a 1990 1768 elite.I am in love with it,such an easy action,was there a US 1768 elite 12 string made?I would love one. |

I had a 1768 until a few years back. Nice guitar - easy as butter to play.
I'm just not a fan of the Elites, so I sold it to buy a beautiful 40 year old Folklore.
I'm pretty sure they made a 12 string model - the 'Book Elite' was a limited edition?? 1768 with a bit of extra 'bling'. They call it the 'Book Elite' because it is the guitar that adorns the front cover of 'The History of the Ovation Guitar'.
There was s 12 string Book Elite and a Mandolin as well.

The 12-string version of your guitar is called a 1758. They are outstanding 12-strings! Here's one in natural... Here's one in burst... You asked, so if your GAS is reignited, don't blame me.  |

| I REALLY want a sunburst 1758,I assume they are the superior US type like my old 1768 and are they as easy to play?Ive been looking around and they seem to be thin on the ground,what price do average examples go for?Im not too bothered with a few nicks and scrapes and a minter would be way out of my budget. |
