Surely someone may know where to attach a loose black clip that is around the two wires inside the bowl. Figure since I am putting on new strings and can get inside with my hand, now is the time to do it. Have felt around and looked inside with a pen light, and figure that someone would jump in. PMs OK. Thanks!

You should see be able to see a rectangular patch of residue and/or discoloration on the spot where it came off. A small mirror plus a flashlight is the easiest way to look around inside.

I don't think the exact placement is critical anyway. As long as it holds the wires out of the way and doesn't allow them to vibrate directly against the bowl or soundboard, it should be fine.
