| I purchased an '86 Ultra (1528D) from a guy on Craigslist and have discovered that the high e string is not being picked up by the pickup when playing it plugged in.
Any ideas what could be wrong? Maybe I need a new saddle/pickup, and if so where would I purchase one.
Thanks in advance for any advice. I really like the Ovation so far just terribly frustated with this problem.

Location: Upper Left USA | Try loosening the strings and jiggling the saddle around. Sometimes they don't "seat" well and just need a little readjustment. |

I originally posted this in Welcome Center and MWoody was kind enough to respond suggesting I"try loosening the strings and jiggling the saddle around". I tried this today and it did not correct the problem.

Thanks in advance for any help.

And FWIW... I agree with the above. Re-seat it, and if that doesn't work, you need a new pickup. |

| Thanks for the replies. I will try to contact Ovation and see if I can purchase a replacement saddle/pickup.
