Not quite sure this is the correct forum but ... thought some of you might want to see my Ovations. If not, I won't be offended.

Yeh, rough number to land on! Still looking for a UKII and a Preacher Deluxe. Of course, I'm still looking (and have been for a very long time) for a Blue Breadwinner in excellent condition.

I can't help you with the Breadwinner, but I have a really nice blue Viper chambered body listed in the for sale section.

Yep, Blue with a blue pickguard. First saw a picture of one hanging on Bill's workshop wall in the Ovation Book (page 110). Showed just enough of it to make my jaw drop! When I found out they were the smallest production run, reality set in ... it's gonna be tough to find and probably a high price tag. But, Hope springs eternal. I found my Ampeg Dan Armstrong Bass in a pawn shop for $200, so anything is possible!

He found his blue Breadwinner guys. That and the UKII, the Peacher Deluxe, and a few others to boot. Puppetman aka Dennis Britt died later last year and he will be greatly missed.

Would it be impudent to inquire which particular malady caused that fine gentleman to cross that river from which no man returns??

A Salute to you Dennis!
For pursuing dreams and seeing the beauty in the often overlooked.

Sure, these instruments are stuff. Stuff that you can share with others and learn, grow and foster friendships with.

Thank you my friend.

I think I built that one, as in its a "Woody".

It has a Limited body and if I remember Viper Pickups and a one piece Bridge not like the other O's.
There'd be a custom TRC as well.

That one specifically? I am not 100% sure of its specs and now it's gone so I cannot check. The entire collection was sold to a fellow that brokers deals with collectors.

Oh yes! He loved all of his Ovations. A few were absolutely his favorites. The blue bread winner was the one he was most proud of. He had it completely refurbished back to factory specifications. As the story goes, he was fortunate enough to have contact with one of the folks originally responsible for its production and they provided him with many resources, including original paint, to bring it back to it's like-new condition seen in these photos.

I kinda remember the Blue Breadwinner saga. It was a good long story with a happy ending. People helping people. There have been some really good folk here; Puppetman is one of them. Sorry he's gone over to the other side so soon.
