Hello everyone,

I am brand new to the forum and recently got interested in acquiring a 12-string Ovation. I have owned a Glen Campbell Balladeer since my first year in college, 1973.

After getting a little education from different sites, I am interested in a USA made 12 string Elite, Custom, Balladeer or Adamas. Mid-depth, contour (or full depth possibly)

So please let know if you have a 12 string for sale as described above.

Thanks

Hi Cajun,

Feel free to post your request in the for sale section.

Just curious, I noticed you omitted Legends from you list. Is there a reason why you'd rather a Custom Balladeer over a Legend or Custom Legend?

Thanks for noting that omission. I am still familiarizing myself with the various Ovation models. I will add legends to the mix!!

Cajunguitar,
Since we're spending your money, I suggest you go out of your way to at least play an Adamas 1688. It's a deep bowl with a carved peghead and is without a doubt, the best playing/sounding 12 string...period. I don't have one for sale, but they do show up from time to time. They cost more than the others, but you get what you pay for.

Nick,

Ha Ha!! It doesnt hurt to dream. I will take a look. I am having fun on the forums here. Seeing so many people enthusiastic about the O's.

I graduated high school in '73 and traded in a Fender Coronado II and Silvertone Amp with Vox speakers for my Glen Campbell Ovation Balladeer. Couldnt bring the electric stuff in the dorm you know. Wish I still had the Fender...worth about $2000 now!!

A cpuple of years ago thought about selling the O to get a better Taylor and my 6 kids said "no way, you raised on that guitar with songs several nights weekly" So I am glad I kept it.

Anyway thanks for the tip. I will have a look at the Adamas...and dream.
