without a doubt, the simple elegance and perfectly thought out and executed design elements make the 2007 collectors the best looking Ovation ever, and perhaps the best looking guitar of any brand.

Joe, I will agree with all statements above :) )

As probably one of the newest owners of a 2007 Collectors I am getting sore muscles in my face from smiling so much and my fingertips are numb. Absolutley stunning colour and style....

Watto I am sorry you missed getting to play the new toy but maybe someday.

I picked the other one but there is no accounting for bad taste. The 2007 is a good looking guitar except for the cadaver skin epaulet.

Once the early birds wake up there will be plenty of opinions on "best looking". I predict heavy betting on adamas slotheads, custom legends and old shiny bowls. I am a little partial to this:

If you are talking about simple elegance, I think the FD14 needs to be included. The 1719 30CM is stunning.

This one is going to have many winners.

Beauty, tone and sound are all in the eyes and ears of the beholder.

I'm not a huge fan of the round hole Ovations, the only one I'm willing to forgive is the 97C.

I think the 06C (KOA with flame maple) looks pretty damn fine as does the 5858 (angel stepped walnut) and of course the 03C (Spruce with Koa)!

Dweezil has few good points there!

I'm still enamoured with this one I'm holding for David until his kids grow up and buy it back for him...

I would agree. Also the 97 Collector falls in that category.

Most any Sunburst will look cool.

I'm kind of partial to this one, but you can't go wrong with any of them.

Figuring...

Ask this again in a couple of years, and my answer might be even longer. So there.... :p

This is getting ugly. NOT THE PICTURES - those are great. But beauty is absolutely in the eye of the beholder. If this thread goes on long enough we will have every single guitar mentioned, which is a GOOD THING !!!

I love the look of my 87C, but I'm with Toby and Wayne. The classic look of the original GCDB/GC Artist/Legend still just looks RIGHT to me.

Give me another 6-7 weeks and I'll show you how right.....

Bluebird, I had a strap just like that in about 1970.

I'm sorry, naturals don't do anything for me unless she's a natual blonde without any silicone enhancements.
I'm on a red kick right now, ovation does red right !

As to this beholder, (1) is the Book Elite, (2) is the LAV Custom Koa, and (3) is Ultra flame maple EA Viper. Those walnut toppers would be on this list if I could see one close up, and Toby's triburst might be the prettiest burst I've ever seen. The good news . . . there's a lot of winners here.

I think both the Folklore Deluxe AND the 6774LX are great looking guitars. The FD being more subtle and understated and the LX more sexy.

Dave's custom Legend is jaw-dropping....

but...

for me...
