California is a long way from Idaho in many respects. I still have trouble thinking of the Bay area as Northern California. There's a whole lotta land north of there before you get to Oregon.

Got a coffee table book called "Guitar a complete guide for the player". Dave Hunter and others. Great for me because I don't know anything in it. Nice pictures, but I get lost in the technical, music stuff.

Tom McCall, a great Oregon governor, espoused notices at the border inviting Californians to visit frequently but refrain from staying. They did not and the southern Oregon coastal properties ballooned to outrageous California prices. Hell, we don't even have a sales tax we can whack them with, unless they stay. Then the income tax will do them dirty, as it does us all.

"Tipping Point". Nothing to do with music, it is all about human nature and how social trends spread like an epidemic. It is a fascinating book.
