yes, it is a very nice guitar. My biggest surprise came when my father (who always thought that guitars are for lazy characters that won´t get a real job) heard when I was playing and commented how beautiful it sounded.

Please, mark that I´m not a rich man, even by Brazilian standards. I was saving hard to buy a nice electric-acoustic guitar, because my small Yamaha is, of course, small.

I went to the shop to check on an C778LX they had there. Then the guy asked if I wanted to try the Adamas. I said that I would love to try, but had no money to buy that (the 778 was my absolute financial limit). He said: "try it, then we talk later". What happened was that this Adamas was for more than a year in stock, and they wanted to sell it, but people usually buy guitars for such lower prices that they couldn´t sell it. Then we reached an agreement, and he sold me the Adamas for a lesser price than the Ovation C778LX (a whole hundred dollars less). I had to change the strings, because they were OLD, but the guitar is very beautiful and sounds great. It came with the old OP-50 preamp, but that´s a plus for me.

I will work on a small video and post it later.

Best regards,

Miguel

Ok, after my daily practice I took a pic to share with you. The guitar is still on my practice room, as you can see:

Vacations on the beach.
First Ovation is an Adamas.
Figured out how to post pictures on 6th post.
Got a law degree.

You're a lot smarter than that other lawyer who frequents this board, Miguel. Hang around.

Maybe because I´m not a lawyer. I´m a cop. We usually are sooo much smarter than lawyers... But then, maybe the bar wasn´t really set at all.

best regards,

Miguel

You sound like a cop. I've had some fun with a couple who thought they were smarter than me.

Well, I´m not sure if I´m smarter than anybody here in this board. Anyway, we´re here to talk about guitars and music right? Let´s leave these other matters for worktime.

And yes, I would be very happy to have any of you fine folks in this board here in my neck of woods. Then we could discuss the real important things of life while resting on the beach.

Best regards,

Miguel

We do have a tendency to stray off topic. I've noticed it especially with people taking cheap shots at lawyers, but maybe it's because I'm just so sensitive. (Sarcasm is also popular here.)
I was serious about your ability to post pictures, though. Nice pic of a nice looking guitar.

Miguel, in case you missed it, we have a lot of fun with each other here. Sometimes at each others expense....but hopefully only with those who can take the jesting in the tone in which it's meant.

I worry sometimes that some humour doesn't cross different cultures sometimes.

Then say, "What the hell! Laugh anyway!"

Mark, it's not because you're a lawyer that we pick on you!

Miguel, we have fun here. If you've been here awhile and you're not getting picked on, it means nobody likes you.

And we've got a wide group of people here. From lawyers, to cops to private cops to preachers (one who affords his guitars because he's on the pad and another who affords his guitars by doing a lot of funerals -- draw your own conclusions), to engineers, salesmen, you name it. So you see, we sink from the low down to the very low. There's even one guy here who sells gear for a living and never closes.

Go figure......

Dang! That was the easy answer. Now I'll never figure it out.
I have 3 younger brothers. They'd be happy to know that it's coming back around.
