Cheap amplification

Joined: March 2007 Posts: 698 Location: Cork, Ireland	Got a set of 'active speakers' for my new PC - you know the ones, a woofer on the floor and two small speakers on the desktop. Effectively an amplifier. They sounded surprisingly good so I did an experiment. Plugged the 1615 in, via a little external preamp that I built (using one of these). It sounded amazing! OK, not as good as a proper acoustic guitar amp, but for €29.99, not bad at all!
