wondering if anybody knows of any guitar camps, especially if they have attended one & have comments. Just something that I have been thinking about doing.
I like this one, about a five hour drive form me.

About 3 1/2 years ago I went for a week to the National Guitar Workshop in New Milford Ct.(5-6 other locations Nationally). It was 80% 25 and younger and 20% Over 25. I'm guessing that out of 300 "students" 15 of us were over 40. I had a Blast, Learned alot. I was playing Guitar from 9am until midnight or later everyday for 7 days.
I came home and I swear for 2-3 daysafter, my body "pulsated " with music. Now,if you are in the over 40 age group and can deal with (atleast in my case) 2-4/room (Adults were in separate buildings) and sharing a "Mensroom" with 3 showers, Go enjoy!! I did! A real positive experience.

Sposed to ba a good one. Maybe a wee bit overated because it's Jorma's but they have good teachers there.
Worth going to any of these.
Swannanoa Gathering, another one, in NC in July
National Guitar Workshop, another one, multiple campus sites.
I like the week to weekend long ones, I get more out of them.

I have a friend from Wisconsing who went to the Fur Peace. He thought it was great. He focused on bass guitar, which he was new at. He's a Taylor guy, but otherwise trustworthy.
