Hi everyone.

I just joined the group and really appreciate all the knowledge and wisdom the group offers.

I own an all-original burgundy Deacon circa 1974. I've been playing guitar (seriously learning) since around 1970 at 9 years old.

Aside from joining this group to learn as much as I can about these axes, I am hoping to find a resource for minor spare parts.

So, If anyone knows where I can find a finishing nut for one of the small toggle switches and a volume/tone knob, please enlighten me.

Well, I think this is a great group and I'm looking forward to exchanges of knowledge, ideas, and hopefully cash for parts. :)

Cheers,
L. Leon

Translation: contact Customer Service at Ovation and ask if they have the parts.

Another resource is OFC co-founder and admin Mr. Ovation. He's the world's foremost collector of and expert on Ovation solid body electrics.

It may work better for you to post your request in the "For Sale" or "General" areas. I've updated your profile to allow access to all the boards.

Welcome to the Club!

BTW, I too have a Deacon....

This may be dating myself terribly, but didn't David Cassidy play a Deacon on the Partridge Family?

That one is a beautiful example.

I remember seeing him with a white Breadwinner, but there may have been a Deacon too.

I guess you're right. I could have sworn it was a Deacon.

Very, nice Waskel. Well played, sir!

A Deacon is just a Breadwinner dressed up to go out.
