This Balladeer sold for $A681, while this Celebrity is up to $A961!!

Is this the appeal of the Adamas/Elite look, or perhaps the inclusion of an amp? I'm thinking "Made in USA" doesn't carry the status in the marketplace we think it does.

(One Australian dollar is about $US0.65)

Well sure... an amp would make a difference.
But you can't take the sale of just two used guitars on e-bay and project a trend for the whole industry. An online auction is a fickle thing. The guy with the Balladeer might have had his auction end at a bad time of the day. And the other guy might have fallen in love with that awful green color. Let alone that it came with an amp.
Strange exceptions aside, I think we all know that higher grade material is used and more time & effort is spent on the USA models.

On the Balladeer the output jack is destroyed...
Also the the CS247 has the amp and a stand.
I still wouldn't have given a thousand bucks ($650 US) for it, but it is Australia.

But in 99% of the situations the Solid Top Balladeer should be better...
But that one has real issues.

As always... It depends on the day and who's bidding. I paid almost $400 for my first O...
And it was a Korean Balladeer 4861. But it was a Nice guitar.

I didn't notice all the problems with the Balladeer. That thing is a mess. It's a wonder he got as much as he did for it.
